Your daily routine:
In your capacity as Recreation Supervisor, it is your duty to oversee the recreation operations to guarantee high standards and quality service while providing guests with an engaging, imaginative, and distinctive experience. Make sure that all tasks are carried out in a secure setting and with the appropriate safety precautions. Provide training and support for the assessment of attendants involved in fitness programs. Supervise instructors and all other team members helping with any activities or functions arranged via Sports & Recreations.
Some of your main responsibilities are:
• Plan and allocate tasks, oversee daily staffing needs, and set performance and growth objectives for team members. To help manage disputes and enhance team member performance, offer coaching, mentorship, and regular feedback.
• Plans, executes, oversees, assesses, and monitors the use of designated recreation program areas and facility operations.
• Oversees and supervises the activities of subordinate staff and volunteers; selects, assigns, trains, directs, schedules, and monitors staff duties; evaluates employee performance; and initiates disciplinary actions when needed.
• In charge of ensuring that staff members are appropriately trained in their designated areas of responsibility; organizes and carries out in-service training programs; keeps track of necessary licenses and certifications; and organizes program staff evaluation and professional development to guarantee a high-performing team.
• Manages and oversees contracted services from third parties.
• Identifies worthwhile and interesting programs for the community through research; assesses programs' viability and efficacy; and offers suggestions for new or altered programs to suit resort requirements.
• Cooperates with other departments and holds frequent meetings with managers and supervisors.
• Creates marketing materials, including announcements, program brochures, course descriptions, and newsletters; makes the most of social media and other platforms to increase community involvement and exposure.
• Maintains the facility regularly and makes sure repairs are made as necessary. In charge of overseeing and organizing facility rental logistics, which may include, but are not limited to, giving potential renters tours and information and carrying out the specifics mentioned in rental agreements to guarantee events are carried out correctly and to the best of attendees' pleasure.(A membership in a fitness center)
• Orders supplies, keeps track of purchases, and keeps inventory under the current budget.
• Assist the Recreation Manager in identifying opportunities, develops, and preparing of recreation program budget ; projects revenue, expenditures, and purchases of supplies and equipment.
• Oversees program registration in designated locations and the collection of associated fees; examines documents and files to guarantee accurate accounting and documentation.
• Ascertain that all recreational facilities are adequately stocked with amenities and supplies in accordance with the expected volume of business, and that they have been cleaned and vacuumed. Inform engineers right away if there are any maintenance or repair requirements.
• Creates a range of operational and business reports, as well as related correspondence, and keeps track of program activities, attendance, and other relevant data.
• Establish and meet quality and visitor satisfaction goals. In order to attain a high level of guest satisfaction, respond to any questions, complaints, or requests from visitors in a timely and courteous manner.
• Follow the correct inventory processes. Calculate the par inventory of the supplies required for departmental operations.
• Make sure that all recreational equipment and supplies are securely stored. Restock supplies as needed, quickly, and with the least amount of waste possible.
• Perform other duties as assigned, being flexible within the department and maximizing efficiency and performance in all areas.
We're hoping that you possess some or all of the following skills and backgrounds:
• A bachelor's degree or other higher education credential.
• One to two years of supervising experience at a five-star resort's opulent recreation area, or a comparable mix of training and experience.
• Having a UAE lifeguard license is required for beaches and swimming pools; being certified as a first aider is advantageous.
• Proficient in both verbal and written English communication, especially to interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Required second language proficiency in Arabic, German, or Russian.
• Capacity to collaborate with coworkers from other nations and cultures in a diverse team.
• The candidate needs to be proactive, upbeat, and cheerful in order to look the part. They should also have an approachable, charismatic, and outgoing personality, a strong knack for customer service, strong leadership qualities, and the capacity to inspire and manage a team.
• Is extremely private when it comes to the privacy of guests and any other hotel-related issues.
• Has a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
